It depends on your Situation. There are 3 ways to connect to the internet on the Wii: - Wireless internet using a Wireless Router - Wireless internet using a Nintendo USB connector - Wired internet using the Nintendo LAN adapter If you already have a wireless router that you already using for your PC, laptops, or other game consoles or similar devices at your house, then that is all you need to connect your Wii to the internet. However, if you have a wired router or just a modem, then you will need to purchase the Nintendo LAN adapter to set up internet through a wired connection. You could also use the Nintendo USB connector for a wireless connection, but you will have to get it off of ebay since Nintendo Discontinued them. Wireless routers vary in cost depending on the brand and quality. Nintendo LAN adapters are about $20 if I remember correctly but your Wii needs to be relatively close to your computer. Nintendo Wifi connectors used to be $30 but idk how much they are going for off of ebay now. |
